Ashis Mondal is a contemporary artist from West Bengal . He is born in Kolkata in the year of 1978. he has passed B.F.A in the year of 2001 from Indian College of Art & Draftsmanship (Rabindra Bharati University). he is know for conceptual art, portraits , surreal narrative - driven painting that incorporate motifs from Indian traditions which has goddess figures, peacocks and flutes. he has participated in numerous national and international art exhibition. He prefers to do conceptual type of work. He is an artist who draws from both external energy and internal quietude creating canvases that speak a language of movement.
