Dewashish Das was born in Bihar in 1970. He obtained his degrees in art from Purnea Art College in Bihar and Rabindra Bharati University, Kolkata. His works have been exhibited at Jehangir art Gallery, Mumbai, Art Land at Taj, Mumbai, Spandan at Oberoi, Kolkata to name a few. Dewashsh' work is influenced by his observation of tribal life in the North Bihar region where he was born.

Beside other mediums are inspired by nature. his subject is human being as part of nature and feminine beauty as its highest expression, emotion and different type of moods. he has created paintings with beauty and against other elements of nature.
