His childhood was gone mostly in the remote village, close to Shantiniketan. Being mostly in close proximity of birds and animals of all kinds, and growing up there was probably been the source of all his day-dreams. The development of a strong inclination towards the world of paintings, also started taking its root during this period. The desire to create something new, had been the centre of all his thoughts as a child. However, never did he plan to paint himself.
He completed his MFA from Government Arts College, Kolkata. Over all these years, he continued desperate attempts to view ‘life’ from all its perspectives, as it kept evolving. The works are the reflection of his conscious and sub-conscious senses, on the contemporary socio-economic and political platforms. Irrespective of the theme of his works, his beloved birds and animals have returned to him timely and again, as integral components of his creations and emblems of his own self.
